Joseph Bufalino is the Director of Responsible Gambling at Marina Bay Sands and is responsible for the management and development of the Responsible Gambling Programme at the integrated resort.

He plays a vital role in developing best practices and the overall strategic direction of responsible gambling policy for Marina Bay Sands. This includes the integrated resort’s Responsible Gambling Ambassadors programme, which has trained over 500 team members working on the casino floor, equipping them with the skills to interact with patrons who may display signs of problematic gambling behaviour.

Joseph also works closely with local regulators and the National Council of Problem Gambling in Singapore, supporting social safeguards and measures established by the government.

Joseph has a deep wealth of experience in regulatory, compliance and responsible gambling in casino operations. Prior to joining Marina Bay Sands, Joseph began his career at Crown Melbourne, Australia, where he held various roles across the casino. He was part of the core team that established Crown’s Responsible gambling Support Centre, offering free and confidential services that include responsible gambling information and counselling.
