The 2010 G2E Asia Visionary Award, which was presented in partnership with Macau Business Magazine, recognized Mr. Len Ainsworth’s contributions to the gaming industry and key role in the evolution of gaming machines over the course of his career. He received the award during the Opening Ceremony at G2E Asia 2010 which was held on June 9 at the Cotai Strip® CotaiExpo™ at the Venetian Macau.

Over 350 gaming industry executives enjoyed the G2E Asia Welcome Reception which was held in June 9. A great networking event where participants enjoyed refreshments and cocktails with colleagues from around the world after a successful day of business.

“G2E Asia’s Poker Tournament” kicked off on June 9 with one game each in the morning and afternoon. Mr. Danilo Cuneta, Senior Branch Manager, PAGCOR demonstrated his superb poker skill at the final game on June 10 as the winner of the tournament.

Celebrated casino game security authority Sal Piacente demonstrated the latest tricks and scams in an intensive one and half hour Game Protection Seminar on June 10, the event was attended by 200 casino executives who have a keen interest to update their skills and knowledge in game protection.
A 25 year veteran of the industry who worked his way up from dealer, Piacente advises casinos on detection and prevention of table game cheating. He has put his experience gained on the gaming floors of Las Vegas, Atlantic City, and Reno to work for more than 70 casinos and law enforcement agencies.

At the Game Protection Seminar, Piacente displayed his extraordinary dexterity, demonstrating common cheating techniques including false shuffles, recording the cards, stacking the deck, and the classic slug scam. Piacente also revealed the psychology behind scams, all with strong emphasis on detection and deterrence to give gaming professionals the tools to stop the cheats.
