Frank J. Fahrenkopf, Jr. 
 

Frank J. Fahrenkopf, Jr. is president and chief executive officer of the American Gaming Association (AGA). In his role at AGA, Fahrenkopf is the national advocate for the commercial casino industry and is responsible for positioning the association to address regulatory, political and educational issues affecting the industry. A lawyer by profession, Fahrenkopf gained national prominence during the 1980s when he served as chairman of the Republican Party for six of President Ronald Reagan’s eight years in the White House and led the party through two successful presidential campaigns in 1984 and 1988.  Prior to becoming the AGA’s first chief executive in 1995, Fahrenkopf was a partner in the Washington, D.C., office of Hogan & Hartson, where he chaired the International Trade Practice Group. Fahrenkopf served as the first chairman of the American Bar Association’s Committee on Gaming Law and was a founding trustee and president of the International Association of Gaming Attorneys. Fahrenkopf is a graduate of the University of Nevada, Reno, and the Boalt Hall School of Law at the University of California at Berkeley.

 

 
Lawrence Ho
 

Lawrence Ho is the chairman and chief executive officer of Melco International Development Limited, and a co-chairman and chief executive officer of Melco Crown Entertainment Limited. Ho steered Melco Crown Entertainment through intense market competition and has been involved in every aspect of the planning and development of City of Dreams, an integrated urban entertainment resort in Macau. An advocate of good corporate governance practice, under Ho’s leadership Melco was honored with the Corporate Governance Asia Annual Recognition Award for the third consecutive year in 2008 and recognized by FinanceAsia magazine for the second year as one of Hong Kong’s Best Managed Companies, Best in Corporate Governance and Best in Investor Relations. Ho is active in community services and serves on numerous boards and committees in Hong Kong, Macau and mainland China. He has received numerous  individual honors for his leadership, including “Best CEO” and “Directors of the Year Award 2005” from Institutional Investor and the Hong Kong Institute of Directors, respectively; the 5th China Enterprise Award for Creative Businessmen in Beijing;  “Leader of Tomorrow 2005” by Hong Kong Tatler; as a Stevie Finalist in the “Best Chairman” category of the 2007 International Business Awards and as one of the 100 most influential people in Asia Pacific by Asiamoney magazine. 

 

  
Dr. Stanley Ho 
 

Dr. Stanley Ho’s business interests extend from Macau, Hong Kong, China and Portugal to across the globe and cover a spectrum of industry sectors including gaming, hospitality, real estate, shipping, airport and airlines.

        

He is the Managing Director of Sociedade de Jogos de Macau, S.A. (“SJM”) and Sociedade de Turismo e Diversões de Macau, S.A. (“STDM”).  He has made extensive contributions to the gaming business of Macau and to the sustainable prosperity of Macau over the past 47 years.   

 

He is also Vice-Chairman of Macau International Airport Company Limited, Co-Chairman of the Advisory Committee of Seng Heng Bank Limited, and Chairman of Macau Horse Racing Company Limited.  He has been appointed a member of the Economic Development Council of the Macau Special Administrative (“SAR”) government, a trustee of the Macau Foundation and a Council member of the University of Macau. 

 

In Hong Kong, Dr. Ho is the Chairman of the publicly listed SJM Holdings Limited and the Group Executive Chairman of the publicly listed Shun Tak Holdings Limited, and has been the President of The Real Estate Developers Association of Hong Kong since 1984. 

 

He is a Standing Committee member of the 11th National Committee of the Chinese People’s Political Consultative Conference.  He founded the Stanley Ho Astronautics Training Foundation in China in 1990, and is its Trustee.

 

Actively involved in facilitating the return of Hong Kong and Macau to China, Dr. Ho has been Vice-President of both the Preparatory Committee and the Basic Law Drafting Committee of Macau SAR, as well as a member of the Consultative Committee for the Basic Law of Hong Kong SAR.  He is a member of the election committees for the Chief Executive of Macau SAR and Hong Kong SAR.

 

Dr. Ho is known for his philanthropic generosity and active participation in the promotion of education, sports and other community services.  In Macau, he is Honorary Chair of the Council of Macao University of Science and Technology, Vice President of the Kiang Wu Hospital Charitable Association and Chairman of Trustee Board of Dr. Stanley Ho Medical Development Foundation.  In Hong Kong, he is Vice Patron of The Community Chest of Hong Kong, Honorary Lifetime Chairman of The University of Hong Kong Foundation for Educational Development and Research, and a founding member of the Court of The Hong Kong Polytechnic University.

 

Dr. Ho was conferred upon the Grand Lotus Medal of Honour and the Golden Lotus Medal of Honour by the Macau SAR government in 2007 and 2001 respectively.  A new avenue in Macau was named after Dr. Ho as “Avenida Doutor Stanley Ho” (Dr. Stanley Ho Avenue) in 1998.  He is the first Chinese in Macau to receive such an honour during lifetime.  In October 2008, an avenue in Cascais was named after him as “Avenida Dr. Stanley Ho” (Dr. Stanley Ho Avenue), making him the first Chinese in Portugal to receive the honour during lifetime.

 

In Hong Kong, he was awarded the Gold Bauhinia Star by the Hong Kong SAR government in 2003.

 

In China, he was proclaimed Honorable Citizenships by major cities, including Beijing and Guangzhou. 

 

With his international profile, Dr. Ho received a number of decorations and honours from governments around the world, including Portugal, Britain, France, Belgium, Spain, Japan, Malaysia and the Papal Insignia. 

 

Dr. Ho holds honorary doctoral degrees from the University of Macau, The University of Hong Kong, The Hong Kong Polytechnic University and The Open University of Hong Kong.  He is an Honorary Fellow of the Hong Kong Academy for Performing Arts, a Fellow of The Royal Academy of Dance and the International Benefactor of The Duke of Edinburgh’s Award World Fellowship.

 

   
Billy Ng

 

Billy Ng is vice president of conglomerates and gaming at JP Morgan Chase. Previously, Ng was employed with PricewaterhouseCoopers and Competer Sciences Corporation. He holds a bachelor of science degree in business administration from the University of California at Berkeley and a master’s degree in business administration from Yale University. Ng is a certified public accountant and a CFA charter holder.

 

   
Gary Pinge
 

Gary Pinge is senior vice president of industrial conglomerates and transportation research at Macquarie Securities. He has been with Macquarie for more than five years and currently is based in Hong Kong. Pinge previously worked in the corporate finance and strategy team of Telstra, Australia's incumbent telecommunications operator. He holds a bachelor of commerce degree and is a member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants, Australia.

 

    
Adam Rosenberg
 

Adam Rosenberg is a managing director and global head of the Gaming Group at Goldman, Sachs & Co. In this role, he provides strategic and financial advice to the firm’s casino operator, gaming technology and equipment manufacturer clients. Rosenberg’s clients include gaming operators such as Las Vegas Sands, Kerzner International, Harrah’s Entertainment and Station Casinos, as well as gaming technology and equipment manufacturers including International Game Technology, Bally Technologies, GTECH Corporation and Shuffle Master.  Prior to Goldman Sachs, Rosenberg was an attorney with Skadden, Arps, Slate, Meagher & Flom’s New York office. He received his law degree from Harvard University and his bachelor’s degree from the University of Pennsylvania.

 

    
Andrew S. Zarnett
 
 

Andrew S. Zarnett, managing director, currently serves as Deutsche Bank’s gaming, lodging and leisure high yield debt analyst as well as co-head of high yield research.  Previously, he was the senior gaming equity analyst at Ladenburg Thalmann & Co., Inc., where he also served as a member of the board of directors. Zarnett is frequently quoted in both the trade and national press, including the Wall Street Journal, New York Times, Los Angeles Times, Las Vegas Sun and the Las Vegas Review Journal.  In addition, he is on the conference advisory board of G2E Asia. Zarnett earned his bachelor’s degree from York University and his master’s degree in business administration from Babson College.
