Asian Gaming, Supply Side Economics Assessed

The Asian Gaming Session looked at how the success of the integrated resort (IR) concept – with gaming at its core – was undeniable. Participants analyzed how amenities were structured around the centerpiece of gaming, as well as an assessment of other factors critical to the success of an integrated resort. The Supply Side Economics talk evaluated the impact of gaming on Asian markets, giving participants the unique opportunity to learn how the industry's leading gaming equipment manufacturers are approaching that challenge and how they believe machine and table play will evolve locally and regionally over the short to medium term.

Day 3 – Thursday, 21 May

iGaming Summit Dominates Final Conference Day

The Day 3 conference was dedicated to sessions that fell under the umbrella of the iGaming Summit. It began with a short introduction by Asia Gaming Brief, followed by an hour-long discussion on “Regulation vs. Prohibition.” Following was a lively session on enhancing the legitimacy of sports betting. After the networking lunch, a security-themed talk – mitigating network security threats for superior online availability and service gave participants the chance to assess and debate potential solutions to the data-protection challenges the gaming industry must address to ensure its continued safe and sustainable operation. Next, a session, “Dissecting Devices: Mobile Monetization in Asia,”, discusses challenges and opportunities of mobile gaming in Asia. The final session of the two conference days - Level Up: Strategizing Social Gaming - was a fantastic opportunity to learn how social games are monetized and understand how the casual gaming industry approaches its game design and marketing strategy.

Gaming Management Certificate Program Add Academic Dimension to Expo

The G2E Asia Gaming Management Certificate Program (GMCP) added academic muscle to the informational and networking value of the conference on 21 May. Run in conjunction with the University of Nevada, Las Vegas, and the University of Macau, this highly sought, accredited programme engaged ambitious executives who represent integrated resorts, entertainment facilities and gaming.

All Asia Dealers’ Championship Finals

This year, Global Gaming Expo and Asia Gaming Brief have combined to produce the first-ever All Asia Dealers’ Championship to run concurrent to the Expo at the main stage. This sleek concept sees Macau host a high quality event to honor the front line of the industry and promote responsible gaming, as well as corporate social responsibility. The tournament will continue over the three days, with finals being held in the afternoon of Thursday, May 21.
